Musicians for the Earth

A Global Ally Network for CLIMATE ADVOCACY

At the Centre for the Promotion of Global Health (CPGH), we believe that artists can use their voices—not just in song, but in solidarity—to call for a safer, healthier future. We’re delighted to share how our newest project, Musicians for the Earth, can grow into an ally network that amplifies this mission.

This initiative brings together artists who care deeply about the ties between planetary health, children’s health, and peace. Their influence has the potential to turn awareness into action, audiences into communities, and performances into platforms for change.

HOW MUSICIANS CAN HELP

Artists naturally connect with their audiences through authenticity. Musicians for the Earth invites them to weave planetary health into their art and performances in meaningful, low-barrier ways:

On Stage

  • Giving the CPGH and/or other climate organizations a brief shoutout during live performances (e.g., “Scan the QR code to support climate & health work”).

  • Adding optional micro-donations:

    • $1 per ticket (set up by the promoter)

    • “Round up” donation on merch (set up by merch partner)

  • Encouraging venues to put a small info card at their merch table(s).

Online

  • Recording a 5–10 second clip with a simple prompt:

    • “I’m supporting Musicians for the Earth because ____.”

    • “A healthy planet matters to me because ____.”

    • “One thing I want for future generations is ____.”

  • Reposting CPGH content with a short caption (artists don’t need to create anything).

  • Featuring the CPGH website link in a bio for one week (low effort, big impact).

These approaches reflect successful models already used across the music industry to raise significant awareness and funding for climate action.
